This North Texas softball standout featured in Sports Illustrated

Brock junior Landry Felts was one five athletes around the country to be featured in Sports Illustrated's latest Faces in the Crowd.

She hit two grand slams in the first inning against Cisco on March 30. She drove in eight runs as Brock won 15-0. Felts would go on to win dfwVarsity softball player of the week.

According to SI, Felts is only the 10th high school player to hit two grand slams in the same inning.

Felts, who was an all-district selection as a sophomore, was batting .360 with 31 RBIs in 26 games at the time of publication. The Eagles swept the first two rounds of the softball playoffs vs. Bowie and Merkel.

Brock (27-5) plays Henrietta (19-10) in the Class 3A Region I quarterfinals. Game 1 of 3 is 7 p.m. Friday at Bowie High School.
