TCU baseball ranked in Top 10 of another preseason poll
Another Top 25 baseball poll, another Top 10 ranking for TCU baseball.
The Frogs, coming off their fourth straight appearance in the College World Series, check in at No. 7 in the D1Baseball.com Top 25 poll, which was released on Tuesday.
Florida is No. 1 followed by Oregon State, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Florida State, and North Carolina. Texas A&M rounds out the Top 10 with Dallas Baptist at No. 18, Texas at No. 21, and Houston at No. 24.
Jim Schlossnagle’s program had previously been tabbed No. 3 in the Perfect Game preseason poll with Luken Baker (1st Team) and Jared Janczak (2nd Team) named to the Perfect Game’s Preseason All-American teams. The Frogs are No. 9 in the Collegiate Baseball preseason polls.
The Frogs, who finished No. 4 nationally a season ago, begin their season on Feb. 16 with a trip to Phoenix to take on Grand Canyon in a three-game series. It’s the first time since the 2013 season that TCU will begin its season on the road.
TCU’s first home game will be Feb. 20 against UTA at 6:30 p.m., followed by a three-game series against Long Beach State from Feb.23-25 to round out the homestand.
