Two Northwest school district students and a bus driver were injured Tuesday morning after a school bus and a truck collided in far north Fort Worth, police said.

The bus driver and the students were taken to a Grapevine hospital where they were treated and released shortly after the accident. Another 10 to 12 students were treated at the scene for minor injuries, authorities said.

The crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Alliance Gateway near Alta Vista Road.

Police reported a pickup collided with the school bus that was headed for Byron Nelson High School in Trophy Club.

The bus had 39 students on board, school district spokeswoman Emily Conklin said Tuesday in a telephone interview.

Conklin said another bus was scheduled to take the students who were not injured to school. Some students were picked up by their parents, officials said.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.
