She stole wallets out of purses in Grapevine, then headed to Wal-Mart
Authorities in Grapevine are searching for a female who is suspected of lifting wallets from women’s purses and then trying to use their credit and debit cards at Wal-Mart stores.
Detectives with the Grapevine Police Department said the thefts occurred between 1-5 p.m. Oct. 21 at three businesses.
Police said the suspect — described as a black woman in her late 40s who had her hair in a bun, large hoop earrings and wore a pink-and-white shirt. Police believe the woman stole wallets out of purses in the back offices of the businesses, which were within a mile of each other along Main Street or Northwest Highway.
Police said the suspect later used or attempted to use the stolen cards at Wal-Mart stores in Grapevine, Bedford and Arlington.
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the woman, who was last seen leaving the businesses in Grapevine in a white SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban. Anyone with information about the woman is asked to call the Grapevine police at 817-410-8127.
