Man fatally shot in west Fort Worth after argument over relationship, police say
A man has died after being shot by another man during a argument over a relationship on Sunday evening, Fort Worth authorities said.
Fort Worth Police Department spokesman Daniel Segura confirmed that a white adult male was shot in the chest at about 5:23 p.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of Pinto Trail in west Fort Worth.
Medstar was dispatched to the location where the man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
Segura said an initial investigation revealed that a sentimental relationship between the victim and the suspect, another adult white male, was the motive for the shooting.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Segura said the suspect is in custody, but police have not released his identity.
He said the case has been turned over to the homicide unit and no additional details were available.
