‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ to get third season

Netflix’s hit show “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” has been renewed for a third season.

The show follows members and those trying out for the squad, showing the trials and tribulations surrounding one of the NFL’s most popular cheerleading teams.

The second season of the series, which premiered June 18, landed in Netflix’s top 10 for English-language shows in 19 countries, including the U.S.

Cameras have already begun to capture footage for next season, including tryouts and auditions.

Director and executive producer Greg Whiteley said in a statement that he was excited to get another season to continue telling the stories of the team.

“The world of DCC is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to stories to be told,” he said. “I’m grateful our crew has another season to keep telling them.”

For Cowboys fans looking for more content on Netflix until the season three premiere, there’s the upcoming documentary on owner Jerry Jones’ purchase of the team and the 1990s Triplets Era that included three Super Bowl victories.
