A new Dallas Cowboys documentary is coming to Netflix. Here’s when you can watch
Netflix announced Wednesday the release date for its upcoming Dallas Cowboys documentary.
”America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys” is about Jerry Jones’ purchase of the franchise and the team’s journey to winning multiple Super Bowls in the 1990s.
The documentary will release on Aug. 19 on Netflix and will showcase unseen footage of the “Triplets Era” of the Cowboys — one of the most successful and popular teams in NFL history — led by Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith.
The documentary will be released in partnership with NFL Films and Skydance and is directed by the Way Brothers, who previously won an Emmy for “Wild Wild Country,” a documentary about controversial Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.
In addition to the Cowboys documentary news, Netflix also released a new trailer for season two of “America’s Sweethearts,” its documentary series about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
