Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys ‘ripped the doorknob off this draft.’ NFL draft experts react to picks.

Maybe Jerry Jones should stay on the boat.

The Dallas Cowboys’ owner, who participated in the NFL draft weekend from his $250 million yacht, scored one of the best drafts in his tenure, according to draft experts and analysts.

ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. called the Cowboys’ 2020 draft class the fourth best in the league.

“Credit Dallas here for sticking to its board and getting value. If [Bradlee] Anae and/or [Tyler] Biadasz develop into starters, this could be an A-plus in a couple of years,” Kiper Jr. said.

“I love almost every single one of their picks,” CBS Sports said. “Every single one of these guys to me is value. They got them in a round later in a round of what their draft grade probably was, so I love what the Dallas Cowboys have done so far in this draft.”

Sports Illustrated joined in nearly unanimous praise of the Cowboys’ first-round pick of Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb. SI rated it an A+ selection.

Pro Football Focus raved about the Cowboys’ first two days.

“The Cowboys are ripping the doorknob off this draft. Every pick they’ve made was much higher on the PFF Draft Board,” PFF draft analyst Mike Renner said after Day 2.

The Washington Post rated the Cowboys’ draft a B+, best in the NFC East. NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter gave the Cowboys an A for each day of the draft. The New York Post graded the Cowboys’ draft the best in the in the league.
