Dallas Cowboys top draft pick CeeDee Lamb snags his phone from girlfriend in viral video

Don’t try to take the football away from receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Or his cell phone.

The Dallas Cowboys’ newest wide receiver, who they selected with the 17th overall pick in Thursday’s NFL draft, had to save his phone from the hands of his girlfriend Crymson Rose during a live shot at his home when the pick came in.

In the moment, it appeared to be a classic case of one half of a couple not wanting the other half to see what was on their phone.

But the couple responded to the social media maelstrom by denying it was anything to be concerned about.

“His agent was FACETIMING him while he was on the phone with the Cowboys, I was doing the GF thing [and was] gonna answer it for him,” Rose posted on Twitter in response to someone wondering why she wanted to see his phone.

Lamb, a first team All-American at Oklahoma, shook it off with a thumbs down emoji. “Y’all really gotta chill,” he posted. “It wasn’t even like that.”

Um, welcome to the Dallas Cowboys, CeeDee.
