Dallas Cowboys give up first turnover of 2020 after Facebook page breached by hackers

It’s the first turnover in 2020 for the Dallas Cowboys.

The team’s official Facebook page was hacked Monday afternoon.

A group called OurMine posted at least 128 times on the page. Other NFL teams’ social media accounts were hacked, including the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

”Hi, we’re back (OurMine),” read one post. “We are here to show people that everything is hackable ... to improve your accounts security contact us.”

The hackers included an email address, ostensibly to extort the team. By 2:40 p.m., the Cowboys’ site was back to normal.

The group has previously claimed to have hacked Vevo and the Twitter accounts of multiple major companies, including Netflix, Marvel and Sony Music. In 2017, it hacked Twitter accounts of The New York Times, the WWE and the HBO show “Game of Thrones.”
