‘They broke my heart.’ Dallas Cowboys legend Drew Pearson reacts to Hall of Fame snub.

It just didn’t seem right.

And the video footage was hard to watch.

Dallas Cowboys legend Drew Pearson was snubbed again by the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the local reaction was filled with sadness.

It wasn’t all bad for Cowboys’ fans as safety Cliff Harris joined nine other former players and five contributors.

But the joy for Harris was tempered by the sadness for Pearson, who is now the only player named to the 1970s All-Decade first team not in the Hall of Fame.

“This hurts. They broke my heart. They broke my heart. And they did it like this. They strung it out like this,” Pearson said when the news came down Wednesday morning. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

Pearson, who was watching the live announcement with friends and family at home and in front of television cameras, is seen walking out of the room in disgust.
