Good news (hopefully) arrives for the Cowboys offensive line
Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith expects to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Smith, who has missed the previous two games after suffering a neck stinger against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 17, said he was frustrated when he wasn’t cleared before the Saints’ game.
“It just wasn’t ready yet and that’s how the evaluation went,” said Smith, who was visiting patients at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth with teammates. “It’s a normal stinger, it’s just more extreme than it usually is. We’re just taking precaution. For me, it was more frustrating than anything. I trust our team doctors.”
The Cowboys (7-5) host the Eagles (5-6) at 3:25 p.m. Sunday at AT&T Stadium.
Veteran Cameron Fleming has started in place of Smith the past two weeks.
