Aaron Gordon and Derrick Jones Jr. put on a spectacular show during the finals of the NBA All-Star Weekend slam dunk contest.

TNT analyst Kenny Smith called it the best slam dunk contest since 1988 when Michael Jordan narrowly defeated Dominique Wilkins.

Jones, of the Miami Heat, edged Gordon, of the Orlando Magic, in an extended contest that featured one 50-point dunk after another. Many were dumbfounded when Gordon’s dunk over 7-foot-5 Tacko Fall garnered a score of 47 from the five-just panel, which allowed Jones to claim the dunk title.

Smith called two of the dunks the best in the history of the contest. Smith and fellow TNT analyst Reggie Miller thought the contest should have ended in a tie.
