Tickets for Dirk Nowitzki’s Dallas finale are going for a small fortune
Tickets for the potential last home game of Dirk Nowitzki’s career won’t be cheap.
In fact, if you’re still looking for tickets for the Dallas Mavericks’ home finale against the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at American Airlines Center, you better be ready to lay down some cash, especially for some of the best seats.
Tickets are going for a minimum of $92 on reseller Stubhub and $108 on no-fee reseller TickPick.com as of Wednesday evening, six days out. The cheapest upper level seats on Vividseats.com are $90. To compare, the cheapest ticket available for Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves was $7 on TickPick.
The average purchase price for Dirk’s finale is currently $251 with the average price of a seat $464 on TickPick. That’s up 176 percent compared with the average price of a ticket this season.

A set of two VIP tickets is going for over $17,000. Good luck to whoever is trying to sell those. Most of the prime VIP seats, however, are going for over $3,000 on Stubhub and the cheapest available seat in the lower bowl was $198.
Mavs owner Mark Cuban said fans won’t want to miss the finale, but did not disclose details about how the franchise plans to pay tribute to Nowitzki, who is in his 21st season with the team.
Cuban did say fans will want to arrive early and stay after the game to help say goodbye to No. 41.
