FIFA World Cup

Why an Arlington Motel 6 room could cost you nearly $1K this summer

Fans from all over the world will travel to Dallas-Fort Worth to see top teams like Argentina and England play at AT&T Stadium (AKA Dallas Stadium) during the 2026 World Cup.

DFW will be busy. AT&T Stadium will host nine tournament matches — five in the group stage, which begins on June 14 in Arlington, and four in the knockout round, including a semifinal July 14.

Tickets for any match during the group round stage are no cheaper than $500. And that is not considering possible flights and accommodations for those traveling to North America.

Naturally, hotel prices will spike. So here’s how much it will cost to stay in Arlington when the largest sporting event in the world comes to North Texas.

When will accommodations be the priciest?

The hotel prices reflect the nature of the team matchups.

FIFA ranked No. 4 England plays Croatia on June 17. Former 2022 World Cup winner Argentina plays Austria on June 22 and Jordan on June 27. The Netherlands are also a strong contender, and they play the first match at AT&T against Japan on June 14.

Fans can expect prices to be more expensive for the popular teams like England, Argentina and Netherlands.

The semifinal game on July 14 will also be a big deal, as there are only two semifinal games in the tournament which determine which two teams will play in the 2026 World Cup Final.
