After losing a heartbreaker to Arlington last week, Arlington Martin took out its frustrations on Fort Worth Trimble Tech Thursday night as the Warriors defeated the Bulldogs, 69-0, in a District 4-6A game.
The Warriors (3-5, 3-2) scored 49 points in the first half. After punting on their first possession of the game, Martin scored on its next six possessions.
Tech (1-7, 0-5) moved the ball on its first possession and then struggled to move the ball the rest of the game.
Game was over when: Senior running back Montrell Smith scored on consecutive possession to put the game out of the reach. Smith scored on runs of 10 and five yards. Smith carried four times for 32 yards.

Play of the game: Martin junior receiver Ryan Wallace hauled in a pass and raced 51 yards for a score to put the Warriors up 33-0 with 8:29 to play in the second quarter. The score capped a 22-point run that saw the Warriors score on three consecutive plays.
Offensive player of the game: Mundell, a sophomore, completed 4-of-6 passes for 173 yards and two scores. Jonathan Carter hauled in a 48-yard score and Wallace caught a 51-yard touchdown strike. Mundell also scored on a three-yard run.
Defensive player of the game: The Warriors blocked two punts in the first half that led to safeties and then tackled the punter at the one-yard which set up a touchdown.
Unsung Hero: Despite being put in some tough spots, Tech defense kept playing the entire game.
What’s next? Martin hosts Fort Worth Paschal at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2. Tech plays at North Crowley at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2.
