With National Signing Day 17 days away, 4-star recruit Cam’ron Jones is edging ever closer to the biggest decision of his life.

“I’ll be making a lifetime decision,” Jones said in a Tweet on Sunday. “I feel like I can't go wrong, but I can only choose one.”

The Mansfield Tiger safety will announce his decision Jan. 27 on live TV, at 6:30 p.m. on NBC 5 Inside High School Sports with Pat Doney.

It will come down to Nebraska, Ole Miss, Baylor, Utah and Texas Tech.

Mansfield finished 11-2 in the fall and went to the Class 6A Division II regional round. Jones played a key role for the Tigers, who won the District 4-6A title.

Jones recorded 106 tackles during his final high school season, including 24 stops in the regional game against Waco Midway.

He also played running back and receiver and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, and went on to earn 6A All-State honorable mention and Star-Telegram second team honors.

Jones made an official visit to Ole Miss on Saturday, and went to Nebraska on Jan. 13.

According to 247Sports.com, Nebraska is the favorite to land Jones at 91 percent.
