Southwest Christian QB earns Offensive Player of the Week
More than 25,000 votes were cast for the latest dfwVarsity Offensive Player of the Week.
FW Southwest Christian junior quarterback Ethan Thomas finished with 10,231 votes. He helped the Eagles go to 3-1 after a 42-0 shutout vs. Arlington Grace Prep.
Thomas ended his night with 140 yards passing and threw TD passes of 24 and 44 yards. He also ran for 107 yards with TDs of 16 and 61 yards.
Glen Rose junior quarterback Cameron Griffin came in second place with 9,846 votes as he threw for 311 yards and six TDs while rushing for 73 yards and one TD in a 72-14 win vs. Carrollton Ranchview.
Haltom senior wideout Imiee Cooksey finished third with 1,382 votes. He had five receptions for 92 yards and two TDs, and added two kickoff returns for 85 yards in a 36-16 win vs. Wichita Falls.
