Football playoff contenders meet for more tune-up action this week
Week 2 of the high school football season kicks off Thursday with a pair of 1-0 teams facing each other in non-district games at 7 p.m..
Keller Central meets Richland at the Birdville Fine Arts/Athletics Complex in North Richland Hills, and Flower Mound travels to Keller for a game against Fossil Ridge.
On Friday at 7 p.m., Euless Trinity will host the Montgomery Bears at Pennington Field in Bedford.
Also Friday in Tarrant County, a pair of 1-0 teams meet for non-district games at 7:30 p.m.
Arlington Martin hosts Southlake Carroll at UTA’s Maverick Stadium, and Mansfield Legacy is at Crowley.
Across the Metroplex in Collin County, Associated Press No. 1 Allen (1-0) hosts Shreveport Evangel Christian (1-0) at 7:30 p.m.
