New Mansfield Tiger safety Cam’ron Jones was selected to next year’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Jones, who transferred from Euless Trinity in February, was honored with the selection on Wednesday at the school library.

The four-star senior-to-be was a first-team all-district pick for 5-6A last season for the Trojans. Jones was originally committed to Texas Tech in September after the Red Raiders offered in June. He de-committed from the Big 12 school on Dec. 14.

His final four schools were UCLA, Tech, Oklahoma and Mississippi State before going with the Bruins in April.

During January’s game in San Antonio, Metroplex players on the roster included Southlake Carroll’s Robert Barnes, Kennedale’s Baron Browning, Aledo’s Chuck Filiaga, DeSoto’s Shawn Robinson, South Grand Prairie’s Jeffrey Okudah, Lancaster’s Omar Manning, Denton Ryan’s Earnest Brown and Wylie’s Eno Benjamin.
