Nolan drops season finale

Argyle Liberty Christian scored the final 10 points to rally past Nolan Catholic 33-31 in a TAPPS Division I District 1 game Friday at Doskocil Stadium on the Nolan campus.

Key players: Nolan took a 10-6 lead in the first quarter on a 23-yard field goal by Nana Osafa-Mensah 23, and a 10-yard TD run from Luke Macias. Draylon Roberson later caught a 59-yard scoring pass from Macias, and Rory Mitchell’s 40-yard touchdown run gave Nolan a 24-23 halftime lead. Macias added a 1-yard TD run in the second half.

Key stat: Nolan’s offense gained 350 yards on the night. Macias passed for 202 yards, while Mitchell rushed for 95 yards on 16 carries.
