Arlington Seguin scored three touchdowns with three different running backs in the fourth quarter to defeat Granbury 28-21, avoiding an upset.
Seguin will play Lancaster in the opening round of the Class 5A Division II playoffs Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Irving Schools Stadium.
Granbury took a 13-7 lead into the fourth quarter on a 32-yard run by quarterback Kyler Young, but Seguin quarterback Kevion Cox scored his second TD of the game early in the fourth from a yard out, and the Cougars went ahead for good.
Down 15, Granbury receiver Michael Mulholland caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Kevin Moore and after completing the two-point conversion, the Pirates trailed by a score. Granbury recoverd the onside kick with 15 seconds remaining, but Moore was sacked as time expired.

Key players: Seguin running back Brenan Collins rushed 10 times for 159 yards and a touchdown and Diego Grajada rushed seven times for 86 yards. Granbury’s Kevin Moore caught six passes for 107 yards, completed two of four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown, and caught a 2-point conversion.
Key stat: Seguin rushed 49 times for 415 yards.
