Lake Worth blanks FW Diamond Hill-Jarvis behind big plays

Lake Worth dominated host Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis 67-0 in a District 5-4A Division I game Thursday night at Farrington Field. The Bullfrogs scored twice in the first 35 seconds and eight times by the end of the first quarter.

Key players: Lake Worth running back Jessie Sambrano compiled 109 yards on just four carries, three of which were scoring runs. Sambrano scored the opening touchdown 16 seconds into the contest, then added a 4-yard run late in the first. He then rumbled for a 74-yard score late in the second quarter.

Key stat: The Bullfrogs’ defense scored three times, twice on fumble returns and once on a 20-yard interception return by Will Thompson. The Eagles fumbled 10 times, losing seven.
