Fort Worth-area Class 4A track and field: See state meet qualifiers

The Class 4A regional meets concluded Saturday.

See the Fort Worth-area athletes who qualified for the state championship meet at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium in Austin from May 14-16 and other regional meet podium finishers.

The top two finishers in each event qualify for state. Third-place finishers may advance with a wildcard selection, which is awarded to the third place finisher in any region with the best time.

Class 4A Region One Boys

200 Meters: Jett Kerr of Brock finished third in 21.97.

4x100 Relay: Brock finished third in 41.84 (Briar Shanklin, Jett Kerr, Asher Allen, Colt Matlock).

4x200 Relay: Brock won in 1:29.39 (Briar Shanklin, Jett Kerr, Charles Hibbler, Colt Matlock).

Shot Put: Keaton Goode of Decatur qualified second at 59-00.50.

Pole Vault: Kai Smith of Brock finished third at 14-06.00.

Long Jump: Cayden Brooks of FW Dunbar won at 23-04.50.

Triple Jump: Brooks won at 47-01.75.

Class 4A Region One Girls

100 Meters: Trinity Davis of FW Dunbar qualified second in 12.21.

400 Meters: Samantha Lindsey of FW Benbrook tied for second in 57.84.

Discus: Mariam Kolb of Springtown qualified second at 128-02.

High Jump: Ava Green of Decatur won at 5-06.00.

Pole Vault: Ava Tucker of Brock won at 12-06.00.

Class 4A Region Two Boys

800 Meters: Juan Montes of Kennedale qualified second at 1:57.60.

High Jump: Ethan Parker of Alvarado qualified second at 6-5.

Class 4A Region Two Girls

Pole Vault: Jessi Willingham of Kennedale placed third at 11-9.
