Fort Worth-area Class 5A track and field: See state meet qualifiers
The Class 5A Region One Meet concluded at Lowrey Field in Lubbock Saturday.
See the Fort Worth-area athletes who qualified for the state championship meet at Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium in Austin from May 14-16 and other regional meet podium finishers.
The top two finishers in each event qualify for state. Third-place finishers may advance with a wildcard selection, which is awarded to the third place finisher in any region with the best time.
Class 5A Boys
100 Meters: Justin Stewart of FW Arlington Heights won in 10.16. Jayden Kennedy of Keller Fossil Ridge qualified second in 10.29.
200 Meters: Stewart won in 20.73. Kennedy qualified second in 20.80. Xavier Amos, also of Keller Fossil Ridge, finished third in 21.04.
400 Meters: Brandon Gilmore Jr. of Mansfield Timberview won in 46.25. Londen Houston of Saginaw finished third in 46.99.
800 Meters: Nolan Werth of FW Paschal qualified second in 1:55.45.
1600 Meters: Andrew DeYoung of Grapevine won in 4:16.53. Tyler Connelly of Aledo qualified second in 4:18.09.
3200 Meters: DeYoung won in 9:19.58. Connelly qualified second in 9:26.09.
300 Hurdles: Trysten Shaw of Mansfield Timberview won in 36.30. Marteese Williams of WS Brewer qualified second in 36.89.
4x100 Relay: Mansfield Timberview won in 40.04 (Trysten Shaw, Kobe Smith, Cliff Nguyen, Brandon Gilmore Jr.). Arlington Seguin finished third in 41.04 (Michael Jackson, Nicholas McAlister, Zavier Cole, Keith Hoffman).
4x400 Relay: Mansfield Timberview won in 3:14.19 (Kobe Smith, Trysten Shaw, Jylan Sanders, Brandon Gilmore Jr.). Saginaw finished third in 3:15.86 (Uriel Kigigha, Londen Houston, Andrei Carter, Khylon Griffin).
Shot Put: Cameron Hall of Mansfield Summit qualified second at 56-03.50.
Discus: Jamarr Weathers of Mansfield Timberview qualified second at 174-03.
High Jump: Miller Schenewark of Granbury finished third at 6-06.00.
Pole Vault: Grayson Richardson of Grapevine qualified second at 15-09.00. Izaiah Zepeda of Saginaw finished third at 14-00.00.
Long Jump: Chase Fisher of Mansfield Timberview qualified second at 23-06.75. Domonique Young of Mansfield Summit finished third at 23-05.75.
Triple Jump: Caleb Woodard of Keller Fossil Ridge qualified second at 46-10.75. Lynden Kilgore of Burleson finished third at 46-08.00.

100 Meters: Brooke Middleton of Mansfield Timberview qualified second in 11.54. Micah Tucker of Burleson Centennial finished third in 11.84.
200 Meters: Tucker qualified second in 24.08. Da’Nayah Batiste of Mansfield Timberview finished third in 24.21.
800 Meters: Aaliyah Williams of WS Brewer won in 2:13.66. Rhyan Dollar-Daugherty of Joshua qualified second in 2:14.95. Sofia Brandenburg of Aledo finished third in 2:15.39.
1600 Meters: Molly Garrison of Aledo won in 5:02.82. Madison Carroll of WS Brewer qualified second in 5:09.97. Holland Gladchuck of Aledo finished third in 5:10.58.
3200 Meters: Garrison won in 10:52.24. Carroll qualified second in 11:00.10. Gladchuck finished third in 11:07.44.
100 Hurdles: Makenzie Piggee of Mansfield Timberview won in 14.21. Bailey Boyd, also of Mansfield Timberview, qualified second in 14.31.
300 Hurdles: Denise Turey of Mansfield Summit won in 43.08. Piggee finished third.
4x100 Relay: Mansfield Timberview qualified second in 45.93 (Da’Nayah Batiste, Brooke Middleton, Jayla Bledsoe, Reagan Williams). Everman finished third in 46.84 (Alyssa Timms, Madison Walker, Yeirah Jefferson, Tianna Young).
4x200 Relay: Mansfield Timberview won in 1:37.89 (De’Nayah Batiste, Brooke Middleton, Reagan Williams, Jayla Bledsoe). Everman qualified second in 1:38.62 (Alyssa Timms, Madison Walker, Yeriah Jefferson, Tianna Young).
4x400 Relay: Burleson Centennial qualified second in 3:55.03 (Adarah Cross, Hannah Jimerson, Paisley Stanley, Micah Tucker).
