2025-26 Fort Worth All-Area Girls Basketball: See first, second and third teams

Introducing the 2025-26 Fort Worth Star-Telegram All-Area High School Girls Basketball Team. Check out individual award winners and the first, second and third teams, as well as honorable mention.

Player of the Year: North Crowley’s Jamari Milton

Milton had a terrific senior year with the Panthers, averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals en route to Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state honors. Milton and teammate Mecca Crawford, the Star-Telegram’s Defensive Player of the Year, were the only Fort Worth-area athletes in Class 6A to make the all-state team.

Milton, a Wichita State signee, played a huge role in what was arguably North Crowley girls basketball’s best season. The Panthers made a regional final appearance and tallied a 30-5 overall record with a 12-0 run in District 3-6A.

Milton set the tone for an offense that averaged 62.7 points per game.

Coach of the Year: Decatur’s Drew Coffman

Decatur capped consecutive championship seasons with a thrilling 58-54 overtime victory against Waco La Vega in the Class 4A Division I title game. The Eagles (37-4, 14-0 District 7-4A) were the only Fort Worth-area program to make a state final and one of two to make the state tournament; the other was Brock in Class 4A Division II.

Under Coffman, Decatur will aim for a championship three-peat next season and look to continue its area-leading success in Class 4A. Although Star-Telegram Offensive Player of the Year Bralyn Peck will graduate, the Eagles will return guard Style Brazile, an All-Area First Team selection, and forward Sayler Peck, a member of the All-Area Third Team.

Offensive Player of the Year: Decatur’s Bralyn Peck

Peck, a 6-foot-2 senior forward, led the Eagles to back-to-back state championships, averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds. In the state title game, she made a game-tying layup to force overtime en route to 33 points on 11-of-14 shooting. She also grabbed 12 rebounds in a performance that saw her earn Championship MVP honors.

247Sports rates Peck, an Oklahoma State signee, as a four-star prospect. She is the Co-District 7-4A MVP and earned a TABC all-state selection. Her sister, sophomore Sayler Peck, is also a standout player who earned TABC all-region honors and a spot on the Star-Telegram All-Area Team.

Defensive Player of the Year: North Crowley’s Mecca Crawford

Crawford, a 6-foot-3 senior post committed to University of Illinois Chicago, was a key player for North Crowley in a strong season. The Panthers tallied a 30-5 overall record and won the District 3-6A championship with a 12-0 run.

Crawford, the District 3-6A Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 13 points and 11 rebounds. With size, athleticism and a high motor, she made an impact en route to TABC all-state honors.

Newcomer of the Year: North Crowley’s Sukari Kinney

Kinney played a key role in a strong North Crowley season that saw the Panthers earn a No. 2 ranking in Class 6A from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

The freshman averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals, powering North Crowley (30-5) to a regional final appearance.

She was named the District 3-6A freshman/sophomore of the year.

All-Area First Team

Style Brazile, Sophomore G, Decatur

Brazile put together a standout sophomore season, averaging 15 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds per game. She earned Co-District 7-4A MVP honors and was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state and all-region teams. She also earned a spot on the UIL all-tournament team after helping power the Eagles to back-to-back Class 4A Division I state titles.

Laney Hudson, Sophomore G, Brock

Hudson was a dominant force, averaging 18.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game. She was named co-District 6-4A MVP and earned TABC all-state recognition. The Eagles went on a 10-0 run to win the district title and finished 31-6 after losing in the 4A Division II state semifinals.

Madison Crawford, Senior G, Mansfield Legacy

Crawford, a College of Charleston pledge, closed out her Legacy career by averaging 25 points, 5 rebounds, 3.7 steals and 1.7 assists per game. She broke three school records, including career points (2,629), career 3-pointers (332) and 3-pointers in a single season (113). She earned District 3-6A Offensive Player of the Year honors and TABC all-region recognition.

Whitney Jense, Junior G, Southlake Carroll

Jense averaged 18.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game and earned TABC all-region honors. She led the Dragons to the District 4-6A championship with a perfect 16-0 run, and the team finished 31-2. Jense was also voted as the Star-Telegram Readers’ Choice Player of the Year.

Belle Ratliff, Senior PF, Byron Nelson

Ratliff capped her Nelson career by averaging 18.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. She earned first-team All-District 4-6A and TABC all-region honors. She will continue her basketball career at UTEP.

Lily Sheppard, Senior F/G, Cleburne

Sheppard averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds per game for a Cleburne squad that claimed back-to-back District 8-5A championships. She was named district MVP and earned TABC all-region honors.

All-Area Second Team

Mia Arnold, Junior G, Keller

Arnold averaged 11.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game while shooting 70.6% from the free-throw line and committing just 2.5 turnovers per game. She earned District 4-6A Defensive Player of the Year honors and helped lead Keller to the 6A Division I regional semifinals.

Jazman Bailey, Junior G, Mansfield Lake Ridge

Bailey, who has more than 20 Division I offers, averaged 15.6 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals per game, leading Lake Ridge to a 21-10 record.

Salena Carrasco, Senior G, Boswell

Carrasco was a complete player for the Pioneers, averaging 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals per game. She earned TABC all-region and first-team All-District 3-6A honors. She signed with Abilene Christian.

Madison Jones, Junior C/PF, Mansfield Summit

The 6-foor-2 Jones was the only Class 5A player in the Fort Worth area to earn TABC all-state honors. She led the Jags to a 23-11 record.

Jacee Riddle, Junior G, Brock

Riddle averaged 12.4 points per game and knocked down 126 3-pointers on the season. She was named co-District 6-4A MVP and earned TABC all-region honors, along with a selection to the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Game.

Elizabeth Griffin, Senior G, Aledo

Griffin averaged 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.8 steals per game for the Bearcats, leading the team to a district title, the program’s first since 2019. She earned District 5-5A MVP and TABC all-region honors.

All-Area Third Team

Sayler Peck, Sophomore PF, Decatur

Peck averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds per game in her sophomore season. She earned District 7-4A Defensive MVP honors and was named to the TABC all-region team.

Savannah Hatcher, Junior G, Brock

Hatcher averaged 11.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 2 assists per game. She earned first-team All-District 6-4A and TABC all-region honors and was selected to the TGCA All-Star Game.

Izzy Guadamuz, Junior G, Cleburne

Guadamuz averaged 9.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. She earned first-team All-District 8-5A and TABC all-region honors.

Addyson Handy, Junior G, Boswell

Handy averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals per game in her first varsity season. She was named District 3-6A Newcomer of the Year and earned TABC all-region honors.

Tiara Butler, Senior SF, Aledo

Butler averaged 12.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.8 assists per game. She was a unanimous first-team All-District 5-5A selection and earned TABC all-region honors.

Azharia Johnson, Junior F, Arlington Bowie

Johnson earned District 8-6A MVP honors, leading her squad to a 22-13 record.

Ryleigh Hall, Junior F, FW Country Day

Hall led the way for the Falcons as a consistent double-double threat, averaging 21.5 points, 15.8 rebounds and 4.8 blocks per contest.
