How is star QB Patrick Mahomes teaming up with Southlake Carroll football?
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, in partnership with Adidas, is providing custom gear to 15 high school football programs across the nation, and Southlake Carroll is one of them.
Mahomes will include his “Gladiator” logo on custom uniforms and gear. The list of schools includes his alma mater, Whitehouse High School, as well as Longview, which fell to Carroll in the 2024 state semifinals.
Texas Tech football has also been wearing the logo in partnership with Adidas.
Carroll ISD Athletics is bringing the brand to the Dragon community, including jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies and more that are available for purchase.
Individual players, such as wide receiver Brock Boyd and quarterback Angelo Renda, will have their own pages with customized merchandise with their names and numbers.
Carroll ISD Athletics said in a statement that it is proud to team up with Mahomes.
“Inspired by Patrick Mahomes’ commitment to leadership, perseverance, and excellence, this partnership celebrates the spirit of Dragon Nation both on and off the field,” Carroll said. “Through this collaboration, students, families, and fans can show their Dragon pride while connecting to a brand that represents the ‘next generation of gladiators.’”
A portion of the proceeds from the Mahomes collections will support Carroll ISD athletic programs.
Mahomes is a three-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl MVP with the Chiefs, while also claiming two NFL MVP awards.
