Several Fort Worth-area football games canceled, delayed due to weather
For the second consecutive week, inclement weather in Dallas-Fort Worth affected high school football.
Several Fort Worth-area football teams had their games shortened, postponed or canceled Friday.
Colleyville Heritage and Richland called their game official with Heritage leading 30-21 in the third quarter. Southlake Carroll’s game against Hebron was also called official with the Dragons leading 35-7 in the third quarter.
Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis, fresh off a Week 1 win to snap a 47-game losing streak, canceled its game against Fort Worth North Side.
Fort Worth All Saints and Plano Prestonwood suspended play with the Saints leading 28-21. Decatur canceled its game vs. Denison leading 13-0 in the first quarter. Van Alstyne and Alvarado also canceled their game.
Boswell led Saginaw 21-14 when the game was suspended in the third quarter. It will resume at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Arlington was leading Flower Mound Marcus 7-0 in the second quarter when its game was called. Southwest Christian held a 14-7 lead over Dallas Christian at halftime; that contest will not resume.
Eaton led Denton Braswell 21-0 at the half. That game will not resume.
