Week 5 of the Texas high school football season starts Thursday and expect more great performances from Fort Worth-area football players.

Keep an eye out for these 10 players this week:

Owen Allen, Sr., RB, Southlake Carroll: Through four games, Allen has rushed for 10 touchdowns, an average of 2.5 TDs per game which is just over his career numbers. Allen, the all-area preseason offensive MVP and No. 3 in the Star-Telegram Top 100, needs five touchdowns to hit 100 in his career, according to MaxPreps. He has rushed for 93 touchdowns and has scored 95 TDs overall. Allen could get to 100 by halftime this week against Haltom.

Jake Wilson, Sr., QB, Byron Nelson: Wilson continues to torch opposing defenses and ranks fourth in passing yards among all Texans with just under 1,450, according to MaxPreps. He threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns for the second straight game as Byron beat Fossil Ridge 55-15 in Week 4. Over the past two games, Wilson has thrown for 881 yards, 8 TDs and completed 46 of 56 passes. Look for another big game from Wilson as they take on Timber Creek, which is allowing 40 points per game.

Malachi Cunningham, Fr., DB, Cleburne: Cunningham has quickly become a star attraction for the Yellowjackets over the past two games. In Week 3, he made two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery against Killeen. In Week 4, he turned it up on the offensive side with four catches, 214 yards and two touchdowns against Granbury. What does Cunningham have in store this week against Midlothian?

Jamel Johnson, Sr., FS/WR, Arlington Seguin: The 4-star Texas commit and No. 7 in the S-T Top 100 did a little bit of everything against Mansfield Summit last week. He returned an interception for a 43-yard touchdown, caught a 57-yard touchdown pass, recovered a fumble and caught a two-point conversion. Seguin returns home to host Corsicana and Johnson should see similar production this week.

Jacob Vaughan, Sr., QB, Argyle Liberty Christian: Vaughan had a huge game against Grapevine Faith, throwing for 396 yards and five touchdowns. After winning just two games last season, the Warriors have passed that win mark and sit at 3-1 and in the Top 10 area rankings. Through four games, Vaughan has thrown for over 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns. Expect another game showing from Vaughan as he faces a Bishop Lynch squad this week that’s allowing over 40 points per game.

Phillip Hamilton, Sr, QB/DB, Burleson Centennial: Hamilton has led the Spartans to their first 4-0 start in program history following a monster win over The Colony. The duel-threat star accounted for four touchdowns with two in the air, one on the ground and another coming on an interception return. Hamilton should see big numbers in the first half when Centennial takes on South Hills.

Kai Pruitt, Jr., WR, Colleyville Heritage: The Panthers return to the field against Trimble Tech after their bye week and through three games, Pruitt has been one of the more productive wideouts in the area. He enters Week 5 with 21 catches, 370 yards and four touchdowns, putting him at an average of 7 catches and 123 yards per game.

Hawk Patrick-Daniels, Jr., RB, Aledo: HPD has quickly put himself into the mix as top running backs in the area after the last two games. The junior Bearcat rushed for 293 yards and three touchdowns in their big district win over Azle. HPD has rushed for 341 yards and seven touchdowns over the past two games and should see more of the same this week against Saginaw.

Kaden Brown, Sr., QB, Midlothian Heritage: The South Dakota State commit helped the Jaguars to a win in their district opener and a 3-1 start. He threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns, plus gained 61 yards rushing over Burleson. Brown has 16 TD passes this season. The Jaguars head to Johnson County this week against Joshua.

Hunter McCoy, Jr., QB/FS, Weatherford Christian: The undefeated Lions go up against undefeated Muenster Sacred Heart this week and McCoy should be in for another good night. The junior two-way player has 600 yards passing, 400 yards rushing and has accounted for 13 touchdowns. He also has four interceptions with three coming in Week 3 against Colleyville Covenant.
