Week 3 game in Dallas-Fort Worth will be aired LIVE on TXA 21
Colleyville Heritage will take on Euless Trinity, 7 p.m. Thursday and aired live on TXA 21 as part of its High School Football Game of the Week. The game will take place at Pennington Field.
As of now, it’s the only game this season that will be aired live on the network. Aledo vs. Denton Guyer and Prosper vs. Timber Creek have been the games shown the past two weeks, but both were on tape delay.
The Panthers (1-1) are looking for a second-straight win over Trinity (2-0). They snapped a nine-game losing streak to the Trojans last year. The Trojans had won by an average of 17 points the previous nine times.
It was such a big win for Heritage, which won 31-14, that it led to a post-game celebration at the Whataburger on Glade Road.
On Thursday night, the game will feature two kids of former NFL players.
The Panthers are led by Texas A&M commit 4-star 2019 WR Kam Brown, the son of former Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl MVP Larry Brown. Trinity has 2-star 2019 WR Keanu Hill, the son of former Texas Tech WR Lloyd Hill, who was drafted by Chicago in the sixth round of the 1994 NFL Draft.
Heritage is coming off a 42-17 loss to Southlake Carroll. It beat North Forney 16-0 in Week 1.
Trinity has defeated Waco Midway 37-7 and Sachse 20-14 (at The Cotton Bowl) to begin the season.
