Former TCU standout Olivia Miles is among the top vote-getters in the first returns from WNBA All-Star voting, along with Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers.
Miles, who was named Big 12 Player of the Year in her lone season with the Horned Frogs, has gotten off to a hot start as a rookie with the Minnesota Lynx, averaging 18.1 points, 5.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
Miles has helped lead the Lynx to the most wins in the league (11-3) without one of the WNBA’s best players in the injured Napheesa Collier.
Miles, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, was ninth overall in voting (179,283) and got the third-most votes of any guard, trailing only Bueckers (298,027) and Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark (253,602).
Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson led the voting (308,249), followed by Bueckers, Fever forward Aliyah Boston, New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Clark. Wings forward Jessica Shepard was sixth.
Bueckers has only improved in her second year after an elite rookie season when she made the All-Star Game.
This season the UConn prodcut is averaging 19.0 points, 5.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 51.4% from the field and 42.6% from 3-point range.
Bueckers and the Wings are also off to a strong start (9-5) and seem to be realizing the potential that had WNBA general mangers saying the team would be the league’s most improved.
