Suarez was selected No. 16 overall by the Seattle Storm in the second round of April’s draft, then was traded to the Valkyries minutes later.

Suarez transferred to TCU from Cal for her final collegiate season, and she made the most of it. The 6-foot-3 forward averaged a career-high 17.1 points and 7.4 rebounds and shot a career-best 37% from 3, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors. The Horned Frogs repeated as Big 12 regular-season champions and reached a second straight Elite Eight.
