It’s a little over a month until one of sports’ most iconic events — March Madness.
TCU men’s basketball missed the dance last season after three straight appearances. With “bracketology” in full swing as we get closer to the NCAA Tournament, is TCU expected to make the field with an at-large bid?
The Horned Frogs (13-7, 3-4) are right on the borderline, with some prognosticators having them just in, while others have them on the margins.

Most of the bracketologists have TCU around the edges of the tournament, as one of the first teams in or out.
The Horned Frogs beat defending national champion Florida (now ranked No. 19) earlier in the year, but overtime losses to Notre Dame and No. 14 Kansas could haunt TCU if it fails to secure a bid.
Having a winning record in the Big 12 could be crucial, and the Horned Frogs will probably also need a good showing in the Big 12 tournament — or to score another marquee victory.
That makes the team’s home game against No. 10 Houston (17-2, 5-1) at 8 p.m. Wednesday a critical opportunity.
Winners of two in a row, the Horned Frogs will need a strong finish to the season if they want to punch their ticket to the Big Dance.
