TCU football adds wide receiver, running back in transfer portal

TCU football continued to add to its transfer portal class with two more commitments Tuesday.

South Alabama wide receiver Jeremy Scott and Colorado School of Mines running back Landon Walker confirmed their commitments to the Horned Frogs on social media.

Scott caught 24 passes for 417 yards and four touchdowns during his freshman season. Listed at 6-foot-3, Scott fills a need for the Horned Frogs with the departures of seniors Eric McAlister and Joseph Manjack.

McAlister was an All-American who will be missed, and the Horned Frogs will build their passing offense around Scott, Jordan Dwyer, Terry Shelton and Ed Small.

Originally from the Fort Worth area at Keller Central, Walker has been a key piece the past four seasons for Colorado School of Mines. The 6-2, 225-pounder has rushed for 2,220 yards and 26 touchdowns in 29 games while averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

Walker will be making the jump up from Division II to serve as a veteran running back for TCU. The Horned Frogs will lean on Jeremy Payne and Jon Denman as their lead backs while also adding true freshman G’Ivori Graham and Amante Martin.

TCU has seven transfer portal commitments so far.
