TCU wide receiver Jordyn Bailey says he intends to enter transfer portal
TCU sophomore wide receiver Jordyn Bailey announced on social media that he will enter the transfer portal when it opens Jan. 2.
In a statement posted on X, Bailey said: “The bonds I have built over last three years will last a lifetime, the good and bad I will cherish every moment to the fullest. To my coaches, thank you for helping me develop as a player and giving me an opportunity to play the game I love.
“To my family, thank you for supporting me through everything and always standing by my side. With that being said I have decided to enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility left. Thank you, TCU.”
Bailey, an ESPN four-star recruit out of Denton Ryan and the younger brother of former TCU running back Emani Bailey, could never find a consistent role with the Horned Frogs as he battled nagging injuries throughout his career.
Bailey had just four receptions for 36 yards this season and finishes his TCU career with 18 catches for 191 yards and three touchdowns.
Bailey is the second Horned Frog to announce his intentions to enter the portal, along with reserve cornerback Jonah Martinez. Defensive end Paul Oyewale is also “considering” entering the portal, according to a source with knowledge of his process, but nothing has been finalized.
TCU will face No. 16 USC in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30.
