Is TCU football about to lose a defensive lineman to the transfer portal?
Could TCU football be about to lose one of its best defensive linemen?
Junior Paul Oyewale plans to enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2, On3 reporter Hayes Fawcett said Monday afternoon.
A source with knowledge of Oyewale’s process told the Star-Telegram that the veteran is “considering” entering the portal with no final decision made yet.
Oyewale practiced Monday as TCU prepares for the Alamo Bowl against USC on Dec. 30 in San Antonio.
After missing all of 2024 with an injury, Oyewale returned this season and produced 24 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble while splitting reps with sophomore Zach Chapman.
Even though the portal doesn’t open for more than two weeks, the end of December marks negotiating season across college football.
