TCU lands 2027 Waxahachie standout QB Jerry Meyer III

TCU Football landed its first commitment for the class of 2027 with the addition of Waxahachie quarterback Jerry Meyer III.

Meyer committed to the Horned Frogs on Sunday on his Instagram account. Meyer is currently unranked but holds offers from Arizona, Baylor and Houston among others.

The 6-foot, 170 pound junior was voted Texas District 11-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore.

Meyer led Waxahachie to a 9-4 record and a Texas 6A D-II third-round playoff appearance. He threw for 3,308 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions on 219-for-377 passing.

As a freshman at Lake Mead Christian Academy, he threw for 2,711 yards, 58 touchdowns, and four interceptions on 149-for-221 passing.
