TCU men’s basketball unveils rugged 2025 non-conference schedule

The TCU men’s basketball team unveiled arguably the most ambitious non-conference schedule of the coach Jamie Dixon era Tuesday.

The Horned Frogs will face off against a number of marquee opponents, headlined by a matchup with defending national champion Florida on Nov. 27 in the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego.

The Horned Frogs will then face Providence or Wisconsin in the next game of the invitational Nov. 28. The Badgers made the NCAA Tournament last season, and Providence has typically been a contender in the Big East.

The home slate is also appealing, with games against Michigan on Nov. 14 and Notre Dame on Dec. 5. TCU will aim to avenge a 76-64 road loss last season to the Wolverines, who reached the Sweet 16. The game against the Fighting Irish is the first in a home-and-home series, with TCU slated to travel to South Bend next season.

TCU will also face North Texas on Dec. 7 at Dickies Arena. The Mean Green went 27-9 last season and reached the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament.

The Horned Frogs went 16-16 (9-11 in the Big 12) last season, breaking a streak of three straight NCAA Tournament trips.
