TCU men’s basketball will host Notre Dame in December
TCU men’s basketball will host Notre Dame on Dec. 5, the school announced on Wednesday.
It’s the first game of a home-and-home series with the Horned Frogs slated to travel to South Bend, Indiana on Dec. 5, 2026.
The Fighting Irish went 15-18 last season in Micah Shrewsberry’s second season as head coach. Shrewsberry will likely enter the season on the hot seat with just a 28-38 record in two seasons in South Bend.
The Horned Frogs’ non-conference schedule now includes home games vs. Michigan and Notre Dame and TCU will also compete in the Rady’s Children Invitational in San Diego. The Horned Frogs will face defending national champion Florida and either Providence or Wisconsin.
It may be the toughest non-conference schedule Jamie Dixon has put together during his tenure and successfully navigating the non-conference would increase TCU’s chances of returning to the NCAA Tournament.
