TCU football adds transfer linebacker from Missouri State
The TCU football program added some much needed depth with a transfer portal commitment on Monday.
Missouri State linebacker Michael Teason announced his commitment to the Horned Frogs on his social media page. Teason was named as an FCS Freshman All-America second-team selection by Phil Steele after producing 51 tackles (22 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, a sack and two fumble recoveries.
Teason appeared in 12 games with four starts. Teason will be a redshirt sophomore in 2025 after taking a redshirt season in 2023.
Teason’s commitment adds depth to a linebacker room that has talent, but a lack of experienced bodies. The group of Namdi Obiazor, Kaleb Elarms-Orr and Max Carroll stood out during the spring, but outside of those three TCU’s linebackers were Hudson Hooper and true freshman like Anthony Williams and Dillon Arkansas.
Teason should be able to compete with Hooper for a spot on the second team defense in the fall. Teason is the second transfer TCU has landed during the spring window, joining Abilene Christian offensive lineman Dylan Kinney.
