It was a big weekend for numerous TCU athletic programs as the Horned Frogs added key additions in a few sports.

Let’s start with football where Sonny Dykes earned a commitment from Maryland transfer offensive lineman Coltin Deery. Deery appeared in 10 games last season with two starts for the Terrapins and was projected to be the starter at center this season before transferring.

Now he’ll be in Fort Worth to help provide stability to the interior of the TCU offensive line. Deery and Jackson State transfer Willis Patrick could be the exact answers the Horned Frogs need and Deery’s commitment also gives TCU the flexibility to move John Lanz from center to guard.

The Horned Frogs also grabbed a commitment from Missouri State defensive lineman Tico Brown on Sunday. Brown started seven games last season and finished with 26 tackles and three quarterback hurries. He started his career at Central Michigan, where he spent four seasons.

Brown projects to be a depth piece as the Horned Frogs continue to add more bodies to the defensive line room.

On the women’s basketball front, new head coach Mark Campbell continues to hit the ground running as TCU announced the signing of Cal State Fullerton transfer guard Una Jovanovic on Saturday.

The 5-foot-9 guard played two seasons for the Titans and last season led the Titans in scoring and assists per game. Jovanovic started all 30 games and served as a primary ball handler, which could be the roll she takes for the Horned Frogs.

She joins Oregon transfer Sedona Prince and Arizona transfer guard Madison Conner in Campbell’s initial recruiting class.
