The TCU Horned Frogs continue to be well-represented at the 2023 NFL Draft.

After having three selections on the first two days of the draft, another Horned Frog didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called on day three.

Defensive end Dylan Horton was selected with the 109th pick by the Houston Texans in the fourth round on Saturday. A former high school safety, Horton molded himself into the Horned Frogs’ best defensive linemen this past season.

Derius Davis was drafted a few picks later as the Los Angeles Chargers selected Davis with the No. 125 pick. Davis will join his teammate Quentin Johnston in L.A.

Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson was selected by the Los Angeles Rams with the No. 182 pick. Hodges-Tomlinson will join Steve Avila with the Rams.

Linebacker Dee Winters was picked by the San Francisco 49ers with the No. 216 pick in the sixth round.

Max Duggan was the final Horned Frog to be drafted Saturday as the Heisman Trophy runner-up was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the seventh round.

Horton had 10 sacks this season including a record-setting four against Michigan in TCU’s College Football Playoff semifinal victory in the Fiesta Bowl. Horton’s best football is ahead of him and he’s another player Houston is counting on to reinforce the front seven. The Texans also selected Alabama pass rusher Will Anderson with the No. 3 pick.

Davis was one of the most electric special teams players in the country. Davis won the Jet Award as the nation’s top return specialist. He was voted the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and a first team All-American.

As a receiver Davis had a career-high 531 yards and five touchdowns. Davis had two punt return scorers and over 800 yards in the return game.

Hodges-Tomlinson is the nephew of LaDainian Tomlinson and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back. Hodges-Tomlinson was a first team All-American by numerous outlets and a three-time first team All-Big 12 selection during his career at TCU.

Winters was a first team All-Big 12 selection and was also the Defensive MVP of the Fiesta Bowl. Winters had 79 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Horton, Hodges-Tomlinson, Winters and Davis join Quentin Johnston, Steve Avila and Kendre Miller as TCU draft selections with players like Max Duggan still on the board.
