TCU football at K-State Wildcats: Kickoff time, TV, betting line, radio, prediction
TCU coach Gary Patterson never likes seeing a coach lose his job. Patterson knows how many families are affected by a decision such as those at Texas Tech with Matt Wells being fired.
Patterson had a brief conversation with Wells on Monday night, but had yet to speak with former assistant Sonny Cumbie, who is taking over for Wells on an interim basis.
“I’m trying to beat Kansas State right now,” Patterson said during his midweek news conference. “That was a five-minute conversation I had (with Wells) at 11:30, 11:45 p.m. last night. I was still trying to finish up scripts. Some people think that’s late. That’s just getting started in my world.”
Yes, Patterson and his staff have been putting in the hours to try and turn this season around as much as possible. The Frogs (3-4, 1-3 Big 12) have lost four of their last five games and are facing an uphill battle to reach bowl eligibility.
But they can take a significant step forward with a win at K-State (4-3, 1-3 Big 12) on Saturday. With that being said, here’s everything you need to know going into it:

PREDICTION
TCU has been reeling on defense and that shouldn’t bode well against K-State and Deuce Vaughn. But the Frogs tend to show up on the road and, outside of Vaughn, the Wildcats don’t have too many weapons on offense. The thought here is that TCU plays more like the team that won at Texas Tech rather than the team that lost at home to West Virginia. TCU 37, K-State 30.
