Here’s how TCU players fared on NFL’s opening weekend
TCU fans had plenty of options to see former Horned Frogs playing on the NFL’s opening weekend.
Ten of the 16 games featured a TCU player, including 2020 first-round pick Jalen Reagor making his starting debut for the Eagles. Here’s a look at how the players on 53-man rosters fared:
Ben Banogu, DE, Indianapolis Colts: Banogu finished with one tackle, playing seven defensive snaps in a loss to the Jaguars.
Ross Blacklock, DT, Houston Texans: Blacklock didn’t register a stat but played 10 defensive snaps and six special teams in the Texans’ loss to the Chiefs.
L.J. Collier, DE, Seattle Seahawks: Collier, a 2019 first-round pick, made his first career start. He finished with one tackle and one QB hit, playing 30 of 79 defensive snaps in a victory over the Falcons.
Andy Dalton, QB, Dallas Cowboys: Dalton made his Cowboys debut, but did not play in a loss to the Rams.
Jeff Gladney, CB, Minnesota Vikings: Gladney, a first-round pick by the Vikings, made his NFL debut as a reserve. He played nine defensive and six special teams snaps without registering any stats in a loss to the Packers.
Jerry Hughes, DE, Buffalo Bills: The veteran earned an opening-day start and finished with two tackles and a fumble recovery. He played 38 of 56 defensive snaps in the Bills’ victory over the Jets.
Joe Noteboom, OL, Los Angeles Rams: Noteboom started at guard and played all 73 offensive snaps in a victory over the Cowboys.
Matt Pryor, OG/OT, Philadelphia Eagles: Pryor played four snaps on special teams in a loss to the Washington Football Team.
Jalen Reagor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: Reagor earned the starting nod and his first career catch went for 55 yards in a loss to the Washington Football Team. He played 40 of 68 offensive snaps and six more on special teams.
Austin Schlottmann, OG/C, Denver Broncos: Schlottmann saw action on two special teams plays in the Broncos’ loss to the Titans.
Vernon Scott, S, Green Bay Packers: Scott made his professional debut, playing three snaps on defense and six on special teams in a victory over the Vikings.
Ty Summers, LB, Green Bay Packers: Summers played exclusively on special teams (19 snaps) in a victory over the Vikings.
Halapoulivaati Vaitai, OT, Detroit Lions: Inactive.
Jason Verrett, CB, San Francisco 49ers: Inactive.
