Game On: TCU’s Patterson drops another song as Big 12 starts football this weekend

TCU coach Gary Patterson isn’t a one-hit wonder.

Patterson released a second track this week titled “Game On,” something he said he wrote as a nod to college football players and fans. The video, of course, features plenty of scenes from TCU games as well as other Big 12 schools.

It’s a 2 minute, 40-second song that Patterson co-wrote and sung with TCU graduate and country singer JT Hodges. As of Thursday afternoon, the song had more than 18,000 views on social media.

Patterson made his recording artist debut this summer with another song he and Hodges partnered on called “Take a Step Back.” That has more than 400,000 views on Twitter.

Patterson’s latest song, ‘Game On,’ comes just as Big 12 football is starting up this weekend. The conference has had its setbacks, including the TCU-SMU game being postponed, but there is still seven home non-conference games being played this weekend.

Arkansas State at Kansas State and Eastern Kentucky at West Virginia will officially start the league’s season with 11 a.m. kickoffs on Saturday. Other games on Saturday include 7 p.m. starts for UTEP at Texas and Houston Baptist at Texas Tech.
