TCU football lands one of the top OT tackles in 2021 class
TCU football landed a big-time recruit on Sunday night.
Anthony Belton, regarded as the fourth-best JUCO offensive tackle in the 2021 class by 247Sports, committed to the Horned Frogs. Belton, who is listed at 6-foot-6, 325 pounds, announced his decision on social media.
“First off I would to thank God for giving me this blessing and ability to be able to play the game of football,” Belton wrote in a Twitter post. “I want to also thank my family for being there through this process and being the best support system I could ask for. They pushed me to be the best person I can be and molded me into the person I am now. I would also like to thank Florida High football coaches and teammates because they played a big part in my life and helped me get to where I am now.
“Also I want to thank Georgia Military College and my coaches for bringing me in out of high school and shaping me to become better on and off the field, and pursue my chances at a Division I school. I want to thank all the coaches that recruited me and helped my dreams come true ...
“With that being said, I am verbally committed to Texas Christian University.”
Belton is regarded as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, and also had interest from schools such as South Carolina, Houston, Florida Atlantic and East Carolina.
Belton is the seventh commit for TCU’s 2021 class, joining QBs Trent Battle and Alexander Honig; DEs Landyn Watson and Chris Murray; WR Chase Jackson; and OL Noah Bolticoff.
