The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of North Texas and Oklahoma, including the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, in effect through 11 p.m. Saturday.

Severe weather is possible Saturday evening with areas along and north of I-20 to the Red River facing the greatest threat of storms, according to the forecast discussion. Those storms may have the potential to produce large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.

An unsettled weather pattern will continue through next week with additional storms possible Tuesday through Friday, according to the weather service.

Sunday’s weather is expected to be sunny with a high near 93 and a low in the 70s.
