North Texas could see multiple days of severe storms this weekend and next week.

Isolated to scattered showers are expected on Friday, April 10, said Allison Prater, meteorologist at the National Weather Service Fort Worth. A thunderstorm or two can’t be ruled out, but the NWS is not expecting much in the way of severe storms.

Similar activity is expected on Saturday, April 11, with scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. A better chance for severe storms will arrive on Sunday, April 12, during the afternoon, Prater said.

Additional rounds of showers and storms will continue late Monday, April 13, and Tuesday, April 14. The main threats with this activity will be gusty winds and small hail, along with flooding threats.

Exact timing, coverage and intensity of storms will become clearer over the next day or two.
