Temperatures to heat up in North Texas before rain returns. Here’s the latest
After a cold and dreary start to the week, temperatures will heat up in North Texas.
Many North Texans woke up Monday, Dec. 1, to light showers across the region as temperatures hung around the low 40s, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Overnight lows Monday will be in the low 20s to low 30s.
Wind chill values will be in the upper 10s to mid-20s in the morning hours on Tuesday, Dec. 2. By the afternoon, the sun will poke out as temperatures increase to the low 50s.
Heading into Wednesday, Dec. 3, temperatures will warm to the mid-60s, according to the NWS.
Rain, cold temperatures return
A cold front will arrive in the Metroplex late Wednesday, bringing rain and cold temperatures with it.
Rain chances begin late Wednesday for areas in East and Central Texas, per the NWS. More widespread showers are expected for North Texas over much of Thursday, Dec. 4, and overnight into Friday, Dec. 5.
Temperatures will dip into the mid-40s Thursday and stay cool Friday in the low 50s. Heading into the weekend, temperatures will be in the low 60s on Saturday, Dec. 6, and upper 50s on Sunday, Dec. 7.
