Severe scattered storms could bring large hail, ‘damaging’ winds to North Texas this week
North Texas has a chance for storms nearly every day this week.
Monday, June 2, will be the only day with sunny and rain-free skies, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. Temperatures will be in the low 90s Monday.
Come Tuesday, June 3, strong to severe scattered storms are expected to develop in the afternoon along and ahead of a dryline, according to the NWS. The main threats with this activity are large hail and damaging winds, along with a low tornado threat in the evening.
Additional widespread storms are predicted to develop late Tuesday into Wednesday, June 4. Some of these storms could be become severe, with large hail and damaging winds as the main threats.
Storms will continue moving southeast through the region over Wednesday, exiting in the late afternoon.
Storms continue into the weekend
Storm chances are also in the forecast later this week and over the weekend.
Primarily, storm chances will stick around the Red River area but could dip down into the Metroplex, according to the NWS. A few of these storms may be strong to severe.
